52 dogs 4 cats and a turtle. Help me help them

My name is Cassia and im founder of Sato Saved end of the line dog rescue and rehabilitation in Brantford Ontario. I am just an everyday gal trying to make a difference for those without a voice. I very unexpectedly stumbled upon a situation in Brant county last weekend.

On the weekend of Oct 2 I was working for my job (Animal Control Hillside Kennels) when i recieved an OPP Call to help some dogs...

It turns out these dogs were really needing help.

This spiralled into a whirlwind rescue of mass proportions.

Animal welfare was called and is aware of the situation... its ongoing... but i decided to skip weeks of red tape and get the dogs out NOW because their owner agreed to surrender them to me.

I knew if i had the owners permission and dogs were surrendered to me than i could take all of them out. somehow. one by one until there are none. finally stopping the fighting and despair inside

Thanks to my bosses for being more then willing to allow the dogs to come to the kennel over the weekend and be safe while rescue placements were secured.

In total I removed so far 47 dogs and 3 cats and a red eared slider turtle from the home.

Once they were out.. then further rescue accommodations were made.

Pet save in sudbury initially took 29 of the dogs (now they have 13)

6 of those 29 went to north bay to another rescue allheart

10 more went with Sarah Saintsbury to Montreal

2 went with my friend Amber with her rescue (misfits)

1 went to my friends sarah and cindy at travelling tails k9

2 went to my friend Heather with her rescue 4Champ/Canine Intuition in Sudbury

5 of the worst immediately came to Sato Saved with myself and my amazing fosters.

Purrfect Companions of Norfolk is taking the 3 soon to be 4 cats. (trap is set)

Hillside kennels has 7 dogs plus the remaining dogs needing assessments this week some moving on to other rescues including mine

Some will be adoptable after October 20th.

Now the long process of getting them healthy both physically and mentally begins

I had to end the FB fundraiser due to their policies with non profits. So far we have $18000 towards their care. Some of the dogs will have ongoing medical needs so its hard to know the extent of the expenses yet. Approx $800-$1000 per dog.

This fundraiser will help all these dogs (and cats). I will personally ensure everyone who helps gets some donations for their dogs.

Not one soul will be left behind!
