Lily Grace Stigall was born on August 29, 2016. She was the youngest of four children born to Steve and Kathy. Every single day of her life has been a gift from God and our help in this time of grief, comes from Him.
In December of 2017, Lily suffered a traumatic brain injury from a near fatal drowning accident near Austin, Texas. That night, the Lord heard our prayers and miraculously spared her. The Lord gave her four and a half more years of life. God did this in no small part through the unbelievable care, support, and prayers of her family and friends as well as the relentless love and attention of her parents and siblings.
Lily was known for her unbelievably wide and joy filled smiles. Her eyes would light up to see those that she loved. Her life and her joy impacted countless others. Lily’s story rallied her church, her neighborhood, and entire communities together as they united to support her and the Stigall family. Her small life has had an immeasurably large impact on all who have seen her and known her story.
Early in the morning on Sunday, June 5th, 2022, Lily peacefully passed away while she slept. Her passing has reminded all of us of the hope we have in Christ who alone has conquered death. In His presence our prayers have been answered for Lily’s complete healing. Lily’s hard fought race is truly done.
The way that Kathy tirelessly carried Lily for the last five plus years, we now pray that the Lord will carry us as we turn to our Heavenly Father for comfort and peace.
Lily is survived by her parents Steve and Kathy (Hahn) Stigall, her brothers Luke and Eli, her sister Emma, and her beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
As of 6/14/22 all financial needs relating to Lily's care and funeral have been met. Thank you for your generosity.
