Hi, my name is Debbie and Kevin is my brother-in-law.

On August 31, Kevin Lee fell 20 feet from a tree feet first. The limb his rope was attached to broke, causing him to fall with the limb and his rope wrapping around him, resulting in several life-threatening injuries. He has a break in the top of his radius, a severe break in the acetabulum (cup of the hip bone where the femoral head sits) and breaks along the three other bones of his hip. His calcaneus (heel bone) is also broken.

September 1 was the first of many surgeries ahead of him. A plate was put into his wrist and stabilized. This will need to be removed in a few weeks. His hips needed several plates and screws. Because of the swelling in his foot, he will need to wait for it to go down to have yet another surgery. He will not be able to bear weight on his hip and heel for a minimum of 3 months. Kevin will eventually be transferred to a rehabilitation center for a rough road ahead. Before he can come home, a ramp will need to be built. He will also require several other medical supplies not covered by insurance.

If you know Kevin, this will be very difficult on him not only physically but mentally as well. The man who can never sit still will be forced to take a rest. Being that he is the sole provider for his family, they could use all the help and prayers they can get. It would be an understatement to say the Lees have had it hard the past few months.
