Family Home Destroyed in Fire

Hi, my name is Lana and I am raising funds to support my aunt and uncle who recently sustained a catastrophic house fire. As a preface, Stefan and Shelia have been a solid force in the lives of so many, they have kept our family and the families of everyone around them together and whole.

On Friday, October 21st, while Shelia was at home recovering from surgery, a fire sparked in the attic while she was still inside, she took to action quickly to safely remove the family dog and what she was able to salvage just in time to save her life. While this has been a year of tremendous obstacles for the couple, losing Shelia's mother and sustaining health issues, the pair consistently wavered the storm together. They welcomed family and friends with open arms into their home when they needed it the most.

Stefan called this house his forever home for over 30 years, taking pride in making regular repairs and upgrades to make the lives of his wife, children, and grandchild solid and peaceful.

Shelia took pride in hosting family gatherings, inviting neighbors and all those who needed a place to feel welcome in this house for over a decade. These two are a pair that were meant to be, standing side by side in caring for their family and neighbors, lending a hand when needed, even to strangers.

I am creating this fundraiser to assist the couple, my aunt and uncle in rebuilding their place of solitude as they lost not only their personal belongings but their memories and a safe place to watch their family grow. More than anything, they enjoyed hosting their grandson Messiah on a regular basis, this home housed many of his toys and childhood memories that cannot be recovered. Stefan built treehouses and playgrounds on the property to foster blissful childhood memories that have unfortunately been cut short.
