Grandma Elinor's Medical Fund
Donation protected
My 76 year old grandmother, Elinor Pfluger, fell around 9pm Christmas evening–just hours after arriving to meet our family in Cozumel, Mexico. She has temporarily been undergoing treatment at the local San Miguel Hospital for the past 48 hours.
If you haven’t met Elinor, you should know:
For the past ten years, Elinor has been an active member of the Shepherd Methodist Church
in Lakeland, Florida. Originally from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, she graduated from Franklin College in 1961 a member of the Delta Zeta chapter of Tri Delta sorority.
She then went on to work as the Director of the Early Childhood Education Center for Warren Township Public Schools, where she oversaw the K1 and pre-school program for 30 years. She was able to inspire and educate thousands of kids while still raising four of her own with Charles, her husband and fellow educator.
A loyal Hoosier fan, Elinor has always stayed true to her Indiana roots.
Why we need your help:
My grandma has no idea that I’m putting together this fund. No one who has given back so much to her family and community should have to worry about carrying the full financial burden of such a horrible accident on Christmas. I’m trying to alleviate at least a fraction of the financial stress. Her Medicare will not cover her Angel Med Air ambulance back to Florida so I am trying to contribute anything I can towards the $22,000. When she gets back to the States, she will be undergoing hip surgery and facing 6+ weeks of recovery.
I appreciate your help.
Taylor
