Ellie's Journey

Ellie’s loved ones created this page to reach out to friends, family, and the community to ask for help for such an amazing and beautiful little girl who is about to go through a very difficult time. Ellie is an energetic 4 year old who just loves spending time with friends and family, especially playing with her little brothers. Her mom took her to the doctor after she had complained of leg pain. A pain that her mom had originally thought was from Ellie’s first days of dance class is about to change all of their lives and rock even the strongest Faith. The initial x-ray showed a mass that sent them immediately to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Ellie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma on September 21, 2021. Osteosarcoma is a form of bone cancer. This cancer is aggressive. Ellie is going to start treatments soon, including chemotherapy and surgeries. Ellie’s parents are going to need our prayers, love, and support to help them through this most difficult time and allow them to be there every step of the way for Ellie. All of Ellie’s doctors and treatments will be at the Children’s Hospital and will require many, many trips to and from the hospital from their home in Uniontown, PA, lots of overnight stays, untold time off work, medications, and copays… that will no doubt take a heavy toll on the family. In addition to Ellie, the family has two other awesome children, Ellie’s younger brothers, Bryce and Nolan that will no doubt be looking forward to seeing Ellie home, happy and healthy once her treatment is complete.

Ellie’s favorite song is “This Girl is On Fire” and this could not be more true. Ellie is her Mother’s daughter, she is sassy, vibrant, beautiful, outspoken, imaginative, giving, tenacious, and most of all she is tough!! This world needs Ellie.
