Help save Gizmo!

Donation protected
I’m starting a fundraiser for Nikki and Ryan in hopes to ease the vet bills for their beloved Gizmo, he currently just got out of emergency surgery for bladder obstruction and is facing the threat of being put down if Nikki and Ryan can’t produce $2000 immediately for his overnight stay amongst other bill that I will post an itemized receipt for. There were zero signs of blockage or any discomfort this morning and Gizmo went from zero to sixty in a matter of hours. I will update with further information tomorrow but please consider donating to help ease the financial burden of these vet bills and stress of a sick pet and potential loss. I am asking for $4500 because that was the quote initially given to Nikki for the surgery itself.

update from Nikki!

UPDATE AS OF SATURDAY, MAY 13 AT 9 A.M.

After waiting on the phone for almost a half an hour, I got an update! At 6 a.m. they went to change his fluids & pee bag. He’s showing good vitals, showing good urine flow into his catheter. Lethargic still, hasn’t eaten and has been pretty quiet but he’s also on a lot of pain meds and fluids. He’s getting more blood work done in the afternoon and that’ll tell us more. He will need to stay another night or so but I’m staying positive. I will keep posting updates as I get them & will personally get back to everyone who’s messaged me although I am HORRIBLE at doing such but I’m workin’ on it ❣️

UPDATE AS OF MAY 13th, AT 11:50 A.M.

He’s going to have to stay another night, but she said all of his vitals are exactly where she would want and expect them to be with how bad his blockage was yesterday. He’s eating which makes me SO happy cause he LOVES to eat haha. She said he’s really doped up on his pain meds but he’s feeling good and he’s got a ton of fluid going in so they’re flushing out his kidneys but there’s still some blood in there and they still have to keep the catheter in there to urinate which I guess he has been doing on his own once in a while. She said his potassium levels were at an eight and a normal level for a cat is 2 but with how bad it was, she said it’s expected. He needs to stay another night which could be another $1,200-2,000. She expects him to be able to go home tomorrow night if his kidneys are looking better.

I am BEYOND humbled by all of the love & support for my furbaby, Gizmo. My pride is totally stripped & I’m at a loss of words. I have never asked for anything in my life or a handout so this has been overwhelming to say the least but I am SO thankful for everyone who’s donated, shared, read his story & sent kind words. I love and appreciate all of you more than words can say ❣️
