Battle Of The Brave

Here is how his story begins..His name is James “Tyler” Simpson. His mother and father Jim and Carol Simpson brought him into this world on August 4, 1985 at a whopping 10 pounds 2 ounces. He has 4 other siblings Marki, Michael, Abbi, and Kati. He finally found his happiness 2 years ago and married the love of his life Heather in September of 2017. They have a daughter that’s 7 named Layla, and Heather is 7 months pregnant with baby James (due April 4th). Everyday he gets up and puts his life on the line protecting people he has never even talked too. Yes, he is a Police officer. He has been on the force for over 4 years now. Not only did he gain a second family but so did our whole family. The love that comes from the force is a bond that can never be broken. And for that the family cannot thank his fellow police officers enough...you literally saved his life. Last week Tyler didn’t show up for work. Which is completely not like him at all. He’s always early! If he’s not early..watch out! His fellow officers knew something was wrong. While his wife was at work like the rest of the family no one could get ahold of him. Cops and the squad showed up to find him disoriented and not himself. Come to find out he was having a stroke. Being life flighted to Riverside Methodist in Columbus Ohio, they have found a brain bleed, a blood clot(deep in his brain), fluid around his brain and some swelling. They were able to remove some of the clot but could not remove all of it. Tyler isn’t breathing on his own, and is fighting the machine that does the work for him. His vitals change day by day. So now it’s just a waiting game..could be weeks, or even months. But as of now our faith and his recovery is in Gods hands. We’re not a family to ask for help because we are so close. But with us being so close we are all at the hospital keeping an eye on him. We’re trying to take care of him to our ability and make sure his wife is taken care of, being so far along in their pregnancy. They are just a normal married couple with bills as anyone else. I’m asking for any kind of help that anyone is willing to give. They have a mortgage, cars, a daughter, newborn on the way, and now the medical expenses are piling up day by day. Any little bit helps. And if you have nothing to give.. please just give a prayer. Our love and generosity cannot be stressed enough. Family is our everything!
