Art supplies:furnishing Space Fund

Hi! My name is Idalis Keeler, I’m 19 and I was born and raised in North Philadelphia. I’m a Afro-rican who grew up drawing everyday and painting as a way for me to express myself and cope with mentally and wow I didn’t think I’d be here today without art. Somehow it went from drawing anime to painting contemporary art with themes of mental illness, identity, and socialism. Art has always been apart of who I am and all that I wish to do is have the room to be more creative to continue painting and doing more projects for my community so I can give back. While living with my grandmother and mother and I only have a room to myself where it’s cluttered with art supplies and 60+ canvases so room to be creative is very limited for me. Despite me living with my mother (who’s a single mom) and grandmother I use my freelance job as a way to buy food/pay rent to help out my family! After looking at several spaces I found an art studio ten minutes away from me which is very convenient! It’s my dream space. I’ll be sharing the space with two of my friends which is even more amazing, although since we’re so young and lack a decent/high credit score expenses for a down deposit has doubled+insurance+maintenance+tax I’ve been freelancing and selling art and saving but it’s not nearly enough since it’s been slow after students have been going back to school. If anyone is willing to help us meet our goal of 2,500 for our deposit before MARCH 1ST.It would help so much! We’ll also be using the fund to help us gain more art supplies and equipment for our studio. Thank you so much in advance for funding my dream to a have a safe a creative space
