Puppy Piper NEEDS Surgery
Puppy Piper, 6 months old, was surrendered to Hearts4Doxies Rescue when her
health began to decline. She was the runt of the litter and was not growing as she should have been.
The rescue began immediately tackling what could be causing her to vomit, have seizure like shaking, vision loss and confusion. She was admitted to SVS
Kirkland Veterinary Hospital where comprehensive bloodwork was done and
then a bile test which indicated she could have a liver shunt. Her internist
recommended an ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis. On Feb. 18th, Piper had
the ultrasound and results came back that indeed she did have a liver shunt and
fortunately it was operable.
The estimated surgery cost is between $5300.00-$7100.00 -- a high cost but not when it comes to giving a puppy the best possible life filled with health and
longevity. She lives happily with her foster home, fur brother Joey and fur sister
Bodhi and does not know that she is sick.
Hearts4Doxies Rescue is committed to changing the lives of the most vulnerable and those with medical needs. They do not turn any dog away because of health
issues.
Any dollar amount would be greatly appreciated and gets Piper closer to having
her much needed surgery. Please open your heart and support this sweet baby
girl. Thank you!!
