A leg up in life...

Hi, my name is Patrice and as many of you know my oldest son, Devon, tragically lost his leg in a motorcycle accident in September of 2019.
Devon, a 29 year old man, who once had dreams of playing professional football now struggles day to day just to get around and care for himself. Since the accident Devon has fought tooth and nail to obtain Medicare and disability to help some of the costs accrued as a result of his accident.Devon has had numerous surgeries in order to help him regain some of the mobility caused by the loss of his leg and has finally reached the stage of his recovery to be fitted for a prosthetic leg. Devon and his PCP have finally gotten his insurance to approve his request for and pay for most of his prosthetic leg. However, his insurance isn't enough. His copay for the prosthetic is $6,000 and the orthotic company who is fitting him for his leg requires 1/2 of the money up front to begin making the prosthetic and the other 1/2 before he is able to receive the leg. Obtaining this prosthetic leg is the next step in returning him to his new "normal" life and helping him regain some of his independence. Any money received will be sent directly to the prosthetic company and will be put towards his copayment. We know times are tough so every little bit is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
