Support for Julie

Julie has a caring, loving, and beautiful heart. She is a dazzling wife and mother of two young adult boys and sweet doggo Simba. She is an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Julie is always ready to drop what she is doing to help and support anyone who needs it. She and her husband Gary operate a small family practice in the Halifax community. They strive to practice in a humanitarian style, in a gentle and caring manner.  

Julie was diagnosed with breast cancer in June and has had two operations so far. She will be facing ongoing treatment for the next several months, possibly up to a year. This has required Julie to step away from her work since early September, causing financial and emotional strains on her and her family. Your financial support will help relieve some of the strains that come into play when facing the realities of cancer. Any kind of support will help her and her family focus purely on the physical and mental healing aspects of the disease rather than worrying about the burdens of the financial realities of living and recovering from cancer.

It is Julie’s belief and strategy that maintaining a positive outlook and mindset will be key in her healing, one step at a time. Your support will help her make this a reality. “I have been moved to my very core by the outreach of supportive words, meals, and even just walks with friends, family, both near and far, neighbors, both old and new, patients, and caring healthcare professionals. This is ultimately what keeps me going and gives me the strength to navigate my way through the many stages of dealing with cancer”. For this, she is eternally grateful.
