Of 18,000 applicants, Abigail Adams has been selected for the 2016 High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in New York! This exceptional junior in High School has been chosen to play the French Horn. She is also skilled as a pianist, vocalist, cellist and is self taught on the guitar, as well as many other instruments. She is a member of the Indian Valley Marching Band, Concert Choir, Concert Band, Drama Club, Dominic Greco Band and is on the worship team for Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship Church. This opportunity will prepare her for her future career in music.
She will be going to New York City this February for an amazing opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall with other selected Finalists! The High School Honors Performance Series brings together exceptional high school performers from around the world – this year’s Series includes students from 49 US states, Guam, four provinces of Canada, Armenia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, Oman, the Philippines, Qatar, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates! Selected Finalists have the opportunity to study under master conductors, work with other elite musicians, and perform at Carnegie Hall. They will spend a total of 5 days together in New York City. Here are some of the exciting activities that are planned:
*Perform in the exclusive Honors Performance at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, February 7, 2016, under the direction of world-renowned conductors
* Work with master conductors and build a performing resume
* Attend a Broadway Show, see famous sites, and experience the excitement of New York City
* Rehearse and interact with Finalists from across the world
In order to take part in this opportunity, she needs to raise over $6000. Please help by sponsoring a portion of her trip. Any contribution you could make would bring her that much closer to this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
