Help Mackenzie Fight Neuroblastoma
Donation protected
This GoFundMe Page has been created for my precious niece Mackenzie, who has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. She is undergoing treatment at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Boston. I am asking for your support to help Mackenzie, Lisa and Rob through
this very difficult time. Your donations would help this family pay medical expenses and needs for Mackenzie. Every dollar will make an impact. Donations as little
as $1 can make a difference. Thank you for taking the time to visit this
page and for considering how you can help this precious little girl and
her amazing parents!
A little information on Neuroblastoma:
"Neuroblastoma is a rare cancer in which a solid tumor (a lump or mass caused by uncontrolled or abnormal cell growth) is formed by special nerve cells called neuroblasts. Normally, these immature cells grow and mature into functioning nerve cells. But in neuroblastoma, they become cancer cells instead. Neuroblastoma most commonly starts in the tissue of the adrenal glands, the triangular glands on top of the kidneys that produce hormones responsible for controlling heart rate, blood pressure, and other important functions. Like other cancers, neuroblastoma can spread (metastasize) to other parts of the body, such as the lymph nodes, skin, liver, and bones. "
