Architecture is something that I am passionate about and am currently pursuing. Growing up on the South Side of San Antonio I did not have many people to look up to who were living my dream. So the reason I am trying to become an architect is to be that beacon of light for the children who are from the same neighborhood that I am. For my college, the University of Texas at San Antonio, it is required for a student who is majoring in architecture to Study Abroad. I am going to be going to Urbino in Spring 2023. It is a great opportunity for me to not only learn and study more about architecture, but also gives me a chance to experience buildings that I have only seen in textbooks. However, there is one downside to studying abroad, it costs a lot of money. The reason why funding for this trip is important is because it helps me take one more step closer to living my dream. All funding will go straight towards paying for the program and tuition for the classes that I am going to be taking. It makes the future less blurry to see and helps my family tremendously.
