The Steiners with medical & living expenses

I’m sharing this in order to help a sweet, selfless family, the Steiners, during a difficult season.

Brian (dad pictured) has a rare type of kidney cancer. He had surgery in May to remove it and after surgery it was found to be Stage 3/Grade 3, which means it's more aggressive and possibly advanced than thought.

They were told for a year and a half that the growth on his kidney was nothing to worry about and benign. And when it did grow, they still didn't think it was a serious cancer and once removed he should be good.

As you can imagine the news came as a blow when what they were told that was not the reality. They and those around them are praying every day for a complete healing for Brian!

Recent CT scans there is a small pulmonary nodule (which they think is benign), 2 small enlarged lymph nodes, and something questionable on his left kidney, which could be post surgical changes or new cancer.

There isn't a lot of information on this cancer and how to treat. They are spending lots of time trying to find out more about this and what direction God wants them to go.

“We are walking by faith and trusting God through this whole process. He has brought us this far and healed him quickly from surgery. We are trying to do everything we can to heal his body too, which is a lot of out of pocket expense.”

They’re also considering 2nd opinions, which more than likely would be out of state and not covered by insurance plus travel costs. They have currently used all Brian’s PTO time for the year.

“We have paid thousands of dollars already in medical bills and for alternative protocol. By the grace of God He has provided and we have stayed out of debt, but this is also limiting us on other treatments we could explore, as we don't want to go into debt.”

Annette (Brian’s wife) is working on starting a small business of verse cards to help others going through storms in life and to help with future expenses.
