And May God Bless Everyone for your kindness. Today’s spine surgery started around 8:40am at Baylor Hospital and lasted close to 3 hrs. Here’s a photo of me after surgery, sitting up in a chair eating, well, I suppose “eating” is a very broad term because I’m technically NOT eating solid food. I’m on a CLEAR LIQUID DIET. I was told the surgery went very well without any complications. My pain level is manageable and not as intense as I was expecting. The PT took me on a walk down the hallway and back again, which was a good sign of a successful surgery. We reached our goal of $2,400, YEAHHHH BABY!!! And in the spirit of transparency, I raised the goal for an additional $400 as a “just in case.” Please do not donate unless you really want to.

Greetings, my name is Nathan Shane Cheatham but most of you know me simply as Nathan Shane. I’m 60 years old and I rent a bedroom from an elderly gentleman here in the City of Irving, TX. I’ve had worsening Osteoarthritis and Degenerative Disc Disease for the past 25+ years coupled with increasing pain. The severity of which has left me confined to a wheelchair and bedridden for the past 7 years. The damage to my spine and the degree of pain now requires Lumbar Surgery, fusing L4-L5. I am scheduled for Spine Surgery on January 15th, 2024.

In addition, the Osteoarthritic damage to my knees has already required full left knee replacement surgery and I still require surgery to replace my entire right knee joint as well. My right knee joint is completely bone on bone.

All these surgeries, medical appointments and medications are financially challenging and keep adding up. That is why I decided to start this GoFundMe page asking for your support and assistance. Every donation is important. $1, $5, $10 might seem like small amounts but they can add up quickly.
