Christopher Reeds needs your help
On Friday May 14 the unthinkable happen to my step nephew Christopher Reeds. A workplace accident. Chris at only 49 years old was airlifted to Sunnybrook hospital given emergency surgery to stabilize his spine which has sustained several breaks and at this point Chris is paralyzed from the waist down and Dr’s have told Chris it’s 90% chance that this is permanent. Chris was a hardworking man who took pride in his providing cleaning services for residents of Muskoka area so they could enjoy their time up here worry free. Chris moved in with his mother and my brother a couple years back to assist them as his mother who struggles with the debilitating effects of Parkinson’s and my brother who is dealing with his own health issues were finding it difficult to keep the tasks around their house under control. They rely on that assistance and now that will also be gone. More importantly Chris’s entire life is changed in an instant. Chris enjoyed go for drives and finding new places to explore his passion fishing. The road ahead is gonna be long and hard and as you can imagine expensive. Funds raised will be used to assist Chris with whatever is needed medically and emotionally and physically to help him regain a sense of control in his new reality and will assist in helping get the needed adaptations that will be necessary for his return home when the time comes. Funds will also be used to assist his mother in being able to go visit him when that times comes. As we all know pensions do not provide enough income and she will need transportation and assistance. Please if you are able (I know times are hard for everyone ) help us in this effort to help Chris.
