Cooper needs your help

Hi, my name is Cooper. I am 13 weeks old. I am a Labrador Retriever. My parents adopted me because they fell in love with me and I fell in love with them. Life was perfect for our first 3 weeks together and then I got really sick. After going to the Pet Emergency Hospital and a Veterinarian Specialty Hospital, we found out that I have a congenital birth defect called a Liver Shunt. This means that my blood is not properly passing through my liver therefore it is not filtering out the toxins. These toxins build up and make me very sick. My Liver is not growing and cannot support me as I try to grow big and strong. In many cases this can be corrected by surgery but in many cases it cannot. This surgery can be very complicated and there are very few Doctors in the country that can do this. Fortunately for us the very best surgeon is here on Long Island. We went to see him and he immediately admitted me for the surgery. I had the surgery but the Shunts were worse than expected and the surgery became very challenging. The doctor refused to give up and was finally able to complete the surgery. There were complications however after the surgery and my blood pressure dropped dangerously low. I am currently in intensive care getting IV medications to regulate my blood pressure and being monitored very closely. If I am lucky, I will get all better and get to go home. My parents are doing everything they possibly can to help me and I am fighting as hard as I can to get better but this is not cheap. My expenses will exceed $15,000.00 and that’s only if there are no more complications. I am asking for your help.
