On November 7th, my dad was taken to the ER in an ambulance because of extreme confusion. The doctors treated him as a stroke patient and was intubated. We then found out the confusion was because of COVID. During his month stay in the hospital, he was in the ICU, intubated, on a ventilator then off of the ventilator then back on, moved into general then intubated again, moved back into the ICU, given a tracheotomy, moved into the PCU then sent home. After 5 days of being home, he suddenly stopped breathing. My boyfriend and I had to preform CPR on him until EMS arrived. He went into brief cardiac arrest but his heart restarted and was then brought to the hospital and intubated again. He is off of the ventilator and breathing on his own with the help of a tracheotomy, again. He’s doing great now and we should see him come home very soon. Hopefully for good. With that being said, he will not be working for a while and my mom needs to go part-time, when she goes back to work, so she can still care for him. The medical bills are going to start arriving and we need some help. With countless x-rays, MRIs, cat-scans, ultrasounds, medication, food, fluids, ICU stays, ventilation, 2 tracheotomy’s, rehab, etc. the bill is going to be high, even with insurance. We are so grateful for everyone’s support so far, and couldn’t have done it without you. Ps please consider getting vaccinated. This is the true nightmare that can happen to anyone especially unvaxed…but your body your choice   ❤️
