Support Tyler’s recovery

Hi, my name is Jaiden and I started this go fund me page for my brother Tyler Salcido. On Monday October 2, 2023, Tyler was getting ready for work around 6 am when he began having difficulty tying his shoes and began losing feeling in his left hand. He was rushed to a hospital in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where it was determined that he had a stroke and a brain bleed the size of a golf ball at the age of 30. At this point he had no feeling in his left hand, fingers or wrist and was extremely emotional.

He was then life flighted to Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he underwent 4 CT scans and 2 MRI’s and it was determined that he had a Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM), which is a genetic disorder. This disorder is an abnormal connection between arteries and veins which caused a rupture, causing bleeding into the brain.

The Neurologist did a procedure to coil his blood vessels and veins to stop the bleeding and that moving forward they have several options, one being radiation to shrink his blood vessels. He is scheduled for another surgery on October 16, 2023, where he will undergo the removal of this coil of blood vessels and veins that are causing him constant pain. He will then be in Physical Therapy for at least two weeks thereafter.

We are asking for any support via donations or to just give him encouragement as this has taken a huge toll on his family. Tyler and his wife have been out of work during this difficult time and are not sure how long they will be without income and the bills keep coming and they have a house and family to maintain at the same time.
