As you may know, Alexa Castillo was diagnosed with cancer in March, 2018. What you may not know is the severity. Alexa, who is 15, has stage IV Osteosarcoma in her right shoulder and it has metastasized to both of her lungs. She had been experiencing increasing pain, and sudden swelling led us to take her to the emergency room for evaluation, and she was admitted for additional testing. We received the diagnosis within days. She had her first inpatient Chemotherapy on March 19th. She will continue Chemotherapy for 10 weeks. Then the results will be evaluated and she will have surgery. Lack of money stops people from having the home or car of their dreams, traveling, or pursuing their dreams or interests. In this case, it could cost the life of our dear Alexa. Please help. Our dream is a healthy Alexa. With Chemotherapy alone, her odds of survival are approximately 30%. We desperately want to pursue an alternative treatment that works in conjunction with the Chemo and improves her chances. The cost of this additional treatment from the Orange Coast Medical Center of Hope could be at least $50,000. With your kind donations of any amount, we can get treatment to increase the chance of conquering her illness and living as normal life as possible. Thank you in advance for your prayers and any help you can provide. Sincerely, The Castillo Family John, father Cynthia, mother Diana, stepmother Tiana and Sara, sisters, Mark Froelich Cynthia's partner.
