Nauru Refugee: Help Mohamed Start a New Life

After more than six long years on Nauru, Mohamed arrived in Minneapolis in May 2020, just as the COVID-19 crisis was tightening its grip on the United States.

Refugee support systems have been overwhelmed and a catastrophically under-funded.  He is still waiting for his social security card.

For many Manus and Nauru refugees, a commercial truck driving license has been a ticket to a secure, well-paid job – but training and license fees can be a major stumbling block.  Mohamed has asked the Ads-Up Community for support, and we're mobilizing to step up to the plate.
