Please help Connie

I am an army veteran that had to have surgery on my neck and lost my job .I can't work until May 2016 .I was denied short term disability-said it was a pre existing condition .i have no income coming in and I signed up for food stamps for first time in life and waiting on answer from them ,I don't know what to do I have rent due car payment due car insurance electric and water bill and food .I have never been in such a financial hardship before and am asking for help please and thank you
