Uncle Leland
Donation protected
Aloha everyone. My name is Stacy, I am Leland Olepau’s niece. My uncle Leland passed away and unfortunately took his last breath on the morning of Monday, December 12, 2022. He loved life, lived life, and did what he did for 64 years!
The day I found out that he was in the hospital, I went to see him. On 11/22 I spoke with the heart and lung dr and I was told that he wasn’t doing too good. Long story short, he originally was admitted into the hospital for an infected leg. Which led the dr’s to find bleeding in his stomach, heart at 17%, and his lungs and liver failing. Dr’s said there’s nothing they could do and deemed him 1-2 months to live.
On 12/2 he was transferred to hospice, CCOH. He got to enjoy bingo and started a relationship with God. I expected him to live longer. I wasn’t ready for any of this or to plan any of these things.
I’m thankful that I got to spend time with him establishing a relationship and just grateful for being there for him as I visited him every day!
With everything else on my plate and coping with his loss, I’m facing difficulties with expenses to be expected.
I humbly ask for any amount of donation out of the kindness of your heart and prayers are always needed and welcomed.
From the bottom of my heart, Mahalo nui Loa to all of you for your kindness, love, and support.
For my Uncle Leland: Unko, you did your best and fought your hardest to stay with me and I thank you for that. Your mind was strong but your body was just too weak and I just want you to know, it’s okay to rest. I’m happy that I got to spend your last days by your side with you knowing you are loved. It was so nice to see you and Unko Wayne together, as he was spending time with you too, reminiscing on good ol’ memories and seeing you smile. Thank you Unko Wayne for that. Unko Leland, you had a kind kind heart to those in need and was always there for everybody. The world wasn’t ready for you to leave, but God had your wings ready. RIL my Uncle Leland. You are missed and loved.
