Help Me Save My Family and Restore our Dreams

The echoes of bombings in Gaza aren't just about loss, they're also the fading voices of family and friends. 

 Dear Supporters,

 I am reaching out to you with a plea to help save my family, rebuild hope, and restore our dreams. My name is Taima, and I am the eldest daughter of a family of five from Gaza. I am 15 years old, and my aspiration is to attend medical school at Harvard or Yale University. Alongside my studies, I find joy in playing basketball and participating in Palestinian folk dancing (Dabke), activities I shared with my dear friend, whom I tragically lost. 

 I was once very happy with my life, surrounded by my family and friends, and we never lacked for anything. However, due to the war and all that we lost, it became necessary for us to seek outside help to regain some of what we had lost. 

 Today, I reach out to you to seek help in securing my future and that of my family. We aspire to live in peace and safety after enduring the horrors of genocide, living under media blackout, destruction, bombings, diseases, power cuts, scarcity of water, food, and medicine, and sleeping in tents in the cold and rain. 

 Since being forcibly displaced from North Gaza to its south and witnessing its complete destruction, we've lost our home, my father's job, and my friends. We are now homeless after our beautiful house was completely destroyed, and my father lost his job as an optician when his workplace was bombed. We are left without any source of income, as my father was on a medical journey with my 3-year-old sister, who suffered severe burns and needs reconstructive surgery, which we cannot afford due to prioritizing housing and living expenses. 

In this war, I lost 4 of my dearest friends within a span of two months. The fear of continuous loss grips me, and I cannot bear the thought of losing my family.
