As most of you know, I was in an accident on May18, 2022. The waverunner I was riding hit a rock at Draper Lake, which had a lower water level. I was thrown from the waverunner and sustained a spinal injury. I could not move my arms or legs. I was taken to the OU trauma ER and had surgery two days later. My spine was fused in the area of my neck. I was at OU Medical until June 6th, then I was transferred to Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center where I have been undergoing intense physical therapy. I am happy to say that I can stand and take steps now, and I have limited use of my arms and hands. I get to go home this week on July 13th, and I will continue PT on an outpatient basis. I will also get to take the neck brace off on July 14th.

Some friends have asked if I had a fund set up to be able to help, so I am creating one. While I have made progress, I have a journey in front of me to full recovery and will not be able to work for some time. Beside the everyday bills and living expenses, my portion of the medical bills will likely be quite a lot.

I appreciate so much all the prayers, visits, phone calls and words of encouragement. I love you all. If you can help with any amount, it will be greatly appreciated. And even if you can’t, I will still appreciate your prayers.
