Aid Jill's Recovery from Flood and Cancer
Donation protected
My daughter-in-law’s mother wrote this for me:
My name is Edith Thompson, and I am a grandmother and retired teacher who lives in Marshall, North Carolina.
Our town experienced a horrific flood on September 27. My dear friend Jill Noah, who is also the other grandma of my grandsons, suffered serious damage to a beautiful home along the French Broad River.
Our close, extended family gathered there on many occasions.
When we were not there, Jill rented it on Airbnb where it earned five-star ratings. Jill supplemented her retirement with rental income.
The home is uninhabitable and will need costly repairs.
As if this weren’t enough misfortune for one person, Jill was diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer nine months ago. She has just completed several months of grueling chemotherapy and hoped to spend the fall enjoying her home along the river.
Any amount you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.
