Help Dave Recover
Donation protected
Hello friends. I'm here to share a story that recently put my brother in the hospital. It was an unfortunate event that forever changed his life. In the evening on February 9th, Dave Weaver was brutally attacked in his home and sustained multiple injuries to his right arm, right leg and multiple areas of his body. The injuries were life threatening. He underwent surgery for several hours to tend to these injuries. He's currently stable but obviously has limited movement and suffering intense nerve pain. At this time, doctors and surgeons are unsure if he will regain full use of his arm.
After 3 1/2 days in intensive care, on Saturday he was moved to a step down unit. The hospital staff say he's making small but definite steps in the right direction.
I've always been there for my brother, and he's always been there for me. He's my only sibling and all my life he's been there for me if I ever needed someone to lift my spirits because he has a smile that lasts for days. You can see that smile in his photo with our mother. He currently doesn't have insurance. He's a fairly healthy person and didn't feel he needed needed it. I talked to him about insurance a couple months ago and he didn't think the cost outweighed the risk. It's difficult to accept the fact there's only so much I can do for him at this point. His family is missing him. Our family's dedication to his cause can only do so much and donations will be greatly appreciated. We will be forever grateful for you ❤️
Be aware if you choose to make a donation GoFundMe will ask you to tip their website. I see no reason to do such a thing so be aware you can change the amount to "Other" so you're not paying for more than their processing fee. Thank you for your support
