October 1st, 2021, living his best life doing what he loved the most, our loving son, partner, friend, and teacher returned to spirit. Now we must say “see ya later” to a BEAUTIFUL, radiant, beam of light - Alex Kollar. 

Alex’s commitment to helping others, creating change and saving the planet has been a driving force throughout his life. 

The very best way we can High 5 our cherished buddy is by bringing his commitment to life. Alex developed a deep connection with Rwanda throughout the three consecutive summers he spent there. It was there that he saw a bigger picture of the world; serving and mentoring at risk youth and forging deep relationships.

Guided by Alex’s deep commitment to sustainability and the future of our planet, Alex’s family created The Alex Kollar Memorial Fund. Every donation supports the creation and continued growth of The Alex Kollar Legacy Farming Project—carrying Alex’s values forward through growing communities.

In partnership with The Kefa Project, the Alex Kollar Legacy Farming Project honors Alex’s passion for Rwanda and organic farming by empowering families facing hunger to grow organic sustainable vegetables through home gardens and cooperative farms. Trained families share seeds, skills, and knowledge with their neighbors, creating a ripple effect of nourishment, income, and hope across entire communities.
