Team paxton

Team Paxton is trying to raise money to help pay for medical expenses for Paxton Garrett. If you know Paxton you know he is a fun loving kid who just can't get enough sports, especially baseball. Paxton is on the go constantly, not much can slow him down. However he has Perthes Disease which is a rare condition of the hip bone that affects only children. It is characterized by a temporary loss of blood supply to the hip. The lack of an adequate blood supply causes the head of the femur bone to die. This along with how active Paxton is, has cause quite a bit of damage to his femur. Due to this very rare circumstance he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. He has under gone one surgery already. He has another Schedule for the beginning of September. And potentially a third in about 6 months. Between these surgeries he is going to be in a very restrictive casts. The cast will go from his chest to his toes. Once he has completed these surgeries, he will be undergoing very intense physical therapy. With the potential for many more surgeries in his future, include total hip replacement.  He won't be able to attend school for quite a while, due to the restraint/size of his casts. He is out of sports, pending the successes of his recovery. If you know Paxton than you know this time away from his friends and sports will be devastating. Because of the severity of his condition he may never be able to walk without a walker, if he does he many always have sever pain. Let alone be able to play the sports he loves. All we can do is concentrate on recovery, and pray for the best. The last thing we want is his recovery to somehow be limited due to the cost associated with it. This is why we are asking for everyone's help to get Paxton back out on the baseball diamond as soon as possible.
