Randy Tracy's Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
Updated 3/12/24: Randy lost his battle this morning. We are absolutely heartbroken and need to plan a funeral. Anything helps and we appreciate it so much.
September 2023:
Our nearly 3 year marriage (11-7-2020) has been filled with more love than most people know in a lifetime. Being in love has been so fulfilling and fun. When we met online in 2017, I wasn’t expecting to fall head over heels for this beautiful man - but life doesn’t always go as expected. Unfortunately, Randy suffered a heart attack at home on September 17th. He was airlifted to Chandler Regional that night and had surgery the next day. During surgery, he had a massive multi-chamber heart attack and he’s been on life support and in an induced coma ever since. On October 3rd, Banner University implanted a TAH Total Artificial Heart in Randy. He’ll live with the mechanical heart for 6 months and then be evaluated to receive a donor heart.
It is so unimaginably difficult to see my love in this condition. Even though I sit next to his bed every day, I miss him terribly. He can’t look at me, or laugh with me or hold my hand. We’re big hand holders! I hold his hand, but he can’t hold mine back. I miss his voice and want to look at his handsome face without seeing a ventilator tube down his throat.
The city of Flagstaff has been so gracious and supportive, as have our sweet family and friends. As much as the doctors and nurses tell me to take this long journey one day at a time, it’s easier said than done. I can’t help but think of next week, next month and next year and wonder what it’ll look like. I look to the future where there was so much fun and life to look forward to, and I feel fearful and scared. After just 3 weeks since the heart attack, the bills are starting to arrive. The expenses are astronomical and I can't do this by myself.
Randy is only 52 years old with so much more life inside him. He has a deep, spiritual relationship with God that I’m jealous of. He adores me, loves his family, and is a great friend. There’s a saying, “desperate times call for desperate measures”. I’m right there! Your generosity is very much appreciated. Randy and I appreciate each and every one of you - your prayers and support will never be forgotten.
