Please help us establish the Michelle Nixon-Machado Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving college-bound Bakersfield High School graduate.
Michelle impacted many lives over her 18 years of teaching at Bakersfield High School, which was her alma mater. Michelle loved teaching and devoted her time and energy to her job and beloved students.
Michelle was a beautiful soul with the heart of a servant. During her too short 40 years on earth, she taught many of us what is important in life. From her, we learned compassion and empathy for the under dog and to value all people. Michelle put action behind her personal values. She walked the walk. All of us who were privileged to know her or be loved by her are better people because of how she lived her life. She definitely led by example. Michelle loved being a mom and made family her number one focus in life. We miss her and so many lives will not be the same without her loving personality and her caring ways.
