Let’s Go Quackers Charity Art Trail

Hello everyone thanks for visiting the Let’s Go Quackers GoFundMe page.
 About Us We are 10 larger than life ducks supported by Telford & Wrekin Councils Pride In Your High Street Community Fund. 
 This is a dream come true for me, event organiser, Julie Ward. 
 What a quacktastic journey! We held a competition to design the ducks & received 746 entries. Primary/Secondary schools, local groups & artists let their creativity flow making a very difficult job for the judges to choose 10. The final 10 were chosen & assigned to individual artists who had expressed interest in being part of the Let’s Go Quackers family. Those Artists then brought the designs to life ready for the ducks to be welcomed on the trail. If you haven’t already please please visit them they are amazing !
 These fabulous painted creatures will waddle into Ironbridge between May 5th -July 8th 2018. Starting at Dale End have a wander through our beautiful Heritage site, the gorge, and enjoy these incredible works of art. The ducks are also forming part of the Telford 50th anniversary celebrations. One of our ducks, ‘C-Ellie-Brate’, is particularly in keeping with the party theme. Our painted family of quackers will then moving home to Southwater In the town centre from 14th July as a family flock so that even more people can see them, and they can join the Carnival of Giants festival on July 15th, another celebratory event well worth a visit.
 We hope that they bring joy and smiles in the spring/summer and hopefully increase footfall in the towns. Come along and meet all of our family and take a walk, take a photo, share your photos with us. We hope you enjoy meeting them. 
 Sponsorship So far £7200 has been raised in sponsorship for local charities Severn Hospice & Jayne Sargent Foundation. There are now only 3 sponsorship advertising boards available. Your logo/information could be on display with our ducks for thousands to see. A unique, fun adverting opportunity! At the end of the trail the ducks will be publicly auctioned, a chance to own something completely original. All funds will again go to the chosen charities.
 Community support A complete sponsorship package of a duck was £1200. All costs of the project are met from the grant, Pride In Your Community, funding and from in kind support. Therefore we are proud to say all sponsorship & GoFundMe donations will go direct to the charities. 
 We want community to feel part of this event. So we decided to set up this page to allow the general public, if able, to show their appreciation, by supporting the charities. After or during the trail please donate. Let’s fund a duck from the generosity & love of those who enjoy these amazing fun characters. Also....
