Our beautiful Faye has terminal cancer

Hi everyone, this is going to be a long read but also the hardest & most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever had to write. As some of you already know the awful and sad news that our beautiful Faye now aged 29 and a mummy to the most wonderful children was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 just before her daughter Marnie - Rae turned 1. This came as such a shock to her family & friends.

Previously to this terrible news a few years beforehand a lump appeared in the breast so Faye was referred by the GP to the NHS breast clinic to get this checkout but was told it was nothing it was fibrocystic but wouldn’t do a biopsy on the lump & was refused a mammogram as they she was too young, she was just aged 25 at the time.

Over time the lump got bigger and after having her daughter Marnie Faye was referred back to the breast clinc, but again they said breast change was normal as she was breast feeding her new born baby.

Over time the lump grew more and she was in a lot of pain. She went back to the same GP where the referrals originally came from and he told her not to worry as he explained cancer doesn’t hurt, so again back to the breast clinic where Faye just knew this was bad news as she could see the worry and panic in the Drs face, a biopsy was done and she was rushed for mammogram. The horrified news that Faye did in fact have cancer was revealed in 2020. She was all alone due to Covid restrictions. Faye has been through countless rounds of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and then surgery hoping this nightmare was finally over.

But After going through all this Faye started feeling unwell with headaches so bad it caused her to pass out many of times so off she went for a CT scan to sadly find a tumour on the brain. This was treated by Stereotactic radiosurgery.

As if our girl hadn’t been through enough she was then told from her check up scans that the cancer had spread to other parts of the body she continues to fight so hard and be so brave for her children she’s gone through countless rounds of chemotherapy of all different kinds but it keeps failing on her. We are incredibly proud of Faye she’s been amazing through all of this never moaned once and just carries on as normal. She is bossing this awful disease.

Just days ago at her hospital appointment she was told heartbreaking news by her consultant this would be her last Christmas with her children Freddie aged 5 and Marnie aged 2 this is because the cancer is so aggressive and her body is just very tired. Also every chemotherapy has failed to help.

Faye is one hell of a fighter and she has fought so hard and intends to keep doing so and we her family want to help her with her wishes to make the most amazing memories with her children. Faye absolutely loves her children she’s just a fabulous mummy and has brought them up so well. Faye is very much loved by her family and close friends.

One of Faye’s wishes is to also to do something to make people aware to check their bodies regularly and get every lump checked out even if it means getting second opinions. Faye wants to raise awareness for people not to ignore any kind of lump no matter how young you are as this could save lives.

We want to give Faye the opportunity to make as many memories possible with her children. Faye has a list of things she would like to get through if possible as they deserve the world at this sad awful time. They are the most wonderful children who adore their mummy as do we all. Faye is a beautiful lady & has the kindest heart. She is so loving and would do anything for you to help because she's so thoughtful & the best mummy in the world to her kiddies.
