Help Sherry Rock Her Recovery

We are hosting this fundraiser to help our friend Sherry and her family recover from an accident that Sherry had. Thankfully, we have our Sherry..but her road to recovery had been an adventure. Saturday March 17th, Sherry struck a tree with her minivan after trying to avoid a deer in the road. As a result of this accident, Sherry had to have her spleen removed, underwent surgery on her hit and arm and was put under sedation in the ICU for several weeks to ensure her lungs and fractures could heel. Of course our Sherry is a fighter and she has amazed her doctors and her friend with her recovery. Her fight to be able to go back home was incredible. While Sherry was doing everything she could in the hospital to recover, Pat was at home working hard to make their home wheelchair accessible and safe for Sherry to come home to. Of course Sherry’s road to recovery is not over yet. Physical therapy and hard work are in her future, but she has already shown those doctors that they are not dealing with just anyone. On June 9th we are hosting a chili cook off and having raffles and 50/50 at the Townsman club in Burrillville to help raise money for Sherry and her family so they can pay for all the home modifications that had to be done and to hopefully raise some funds so they can purchase a new/used vehicle.
