Katheryn developed a pulmonary edema due to a respiratory failure that is so important, she was almost intubated. It's possible she also has pneumonia. The lung area affected is big and cannot be distinguished clearly. The medicine the doctors have given her is limited, because the kidneys are also compromised. Her condition makes her susceptible to heart failure. She's currently in the ICU, fighting for her life at 49 years old.
At the moment Katheryn needs to have a thorax tomography to give the doctors a clear view of her lungs. Doctors confirmed the lungs need to be drained from fluid so it doesn't continue to affect the heart and then follow treatment to save her kidneys.
We need the funds as soon as possible because Katherine doesn't count with health insurance and the hospital policy forces us to pay the full amount of the expenses, every two days.
She will need to spend several days in the ICU because her oxygen level saturation is too low, due to the fluids in her lungs. Having her in the ICU, costs us 2k per night. The money donated will helps us afford the expenses that will lead to her recovery.
