Help this beautiful family:

Hello, my beautiful cousin lost her husband unexpectedly last night. If you could help at all we would greatly appreciate it! This is a message from Chelsey:

“ December 5th, 2021.

The absolute worst day of my life.

Life is short. So, so very short. The absolute worst thing I could imagine happened last night and I still am in shock.

Douglas had one last seizure, and unfortunately never came out of it. CPR was performed for over an hour and despite mine, Misty’s, and the emergency teams best efforts Douglas didn’t make it and passed away around 8:50pm at OSF.

He was the most amazing boyfriend and father to our children. Everyone knows just how highly I spoke of this man. Over 6 years together…. It most certainly wasn’t long enough but I am SO THANKFUL I was able to help him turn his life around and become the best person he could be. His spirit will live on in his two babies, Jasper & Penelope, and even though Olivia isn’t biologically his, he will still live on through her. She doesn’t remember a life without Douglas in it.

Please keep our families in your prayers if you pray, send good vibes if that’s your thing, all I ask is that if you knew him you share stories about him to always keep his spirit alive. This is one of the hardest things I have EVER dealt with.

We miss you, babe. I’m so sorry there wasn’t more we could do to keep you here with us. Our babies will be safe and taken care of. I love you. ”
