Help with medical expenses, surprise shooting

Hi, my name is Shaun Fischer, and I'm starting this Go Fund Me for my brother Scott Rupp, who was shot the morning of February 24th, 2022. He was in his home at the time of the shooting. He heard the first shot go off and come through the wall, was standing up to leave the room and was struck in the femoral artery of his left leg. He called 911 and had enough knowledge to make his own tourniquet using a belt to slow the bleeding. Crawled to his front door to unlock and wait for help. Responding officers were credited with helping save his life, applying multiple tourniquets. He was transported to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery to repair the vein and artery in his leg. He is currently in the ICU recuperating. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him.

Shooting Police Department Press Release: Brooklyn Park officers were dispatched to shots being fired at a townhome complex located in the 6600 Block of 83rd Ct. Responding officers arrived and located five townhomes that had been shot into. Officers entered these townhomes to render medical aid. Officers located one adult male who had been shot and was excessively bleeding. Officers applied tourniquets to the victim to stop the bleeding. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and is expected to survive. Officers determined that the shots fired came from inside one townhome. While surrounding this home, the suspect drove his vehicle through the garage door, fleeing the area. Officers pursued the suspect and used a pursuit intervention technique to stop the vehicle; however, the driver then rammed his vehicle into two squad cars before officers were able to stop him. After the vehicle was disabled, the suspect refused to cooperate and barricaded himself inside the vehicle. SWAT and crisis negotiators were called to the scene and were able to convince the suspect to surrender without incident. The 43-year-old adult male suspect is in custody and the weapon he used has been recovered. No other suspects are being sought at this time. The incident is currently under investigation.
