World Pangolin Day 5K
Tax deductible
To celebrate World Pangolin Day on February 17th, we are hitting the pavement to raise awareness and funds for the most trafficked mammal on Earth - the pangolin. Join us on World Pangolin Day to protect these unique creatures from the brink of extinction!
Pangolins are gentle, scaly wonders, yet they face an alarming threat - they are the most trafficked mammals in the world. Their unique scales, falsely believed to have medicinal properties, have made them targets for illegal poaching and trafficking.
Sadly, pangolins are underfunded and lack the resources needed for comprehensive conservation efforts. But here's where we can make a difference! By supporting our 5K run, walk or roll, you're contributing directly to the protection of pangolins and their habitats.
How Your Contribution Helps:
Your donation supports the Pangolin Crisis Fund, run by Wildlife Conservation Network. The Pangolin Crisis Fund (PCF) was created to invest in the best initiatives to:
- Protect pangolins and their habitats so that all eight species have a chance to recover.
- Disrupt illegal wildlife trade networks through intelligence led investigations with local law enforcement and legislative reform.
- Eliminate the demand for pangolin scales and bushmeat in Asia and Africa by working with communities and raising awareness.
The Pangolin Crisis Fund maintains a 100% donation model. Every dollar raised is directly deployed to projects that protect pangolins, with zero administrative fees or overhead.
Your contribution, big or small, can make a significant impact. Let's run, walk or roll for a world where pangolins roam freely, protected and cherished by generations to come. Together, we can make a difference!
Thank you for your support!
