5K swim for Asthma Lung UK

Junoir swim for fitness group from stratford leisure centre; Freya, Bryony, Billy, Albert, Celeste, Ariana, Lexi, Saskia and a few more, are swimming 5KM on Saturday 27th January 2024. That's a staggering 150 lengths of the main pool.

They have decided to do this as a sponsor event in aid of Asthma + Lung UK after one of their group (Freya) lost a dear friend to an Asthma in November. Alfie gained his wings on the 11th November at the tender age of 15 due to an asthma attack. Alfie was a full of life cheeky chap who brought a smile to all he met and is dearly missed.

Asthma +Lung UK mission is to change the way that lung health is perceived, through research, support, campaigning for better understanding and resources, covering the wide range of lung conditions that effects 1 in 5 people in their lifetime.

Any donation no matter how big or small will have an impact.

Update: Thank you all for you donations, can't believe they have already met their target. Let see if we can raise a little more. Saturday here we come!

Update: THEY DID IT!!!! 5km, that 150 a staggering each. 50km as a team all in under 3hr.
