Alana’s Road To The American Open

Alana Gamundoy is an athlete in the sport of Weightlifting. As her coach and team we have seen her put in diligent work, always trying her hardest, training consistently day in and day out, working through the hardest of days. She shows a tremendous amount of integrity with herself and others, is loyal to her family, friends, team, and herself. These traits allowed her to qualify for the American Open Series. As a team we were set to go. Alana is a Hawaiian native and unfortunately has had to put aside her goals and dreams to fly home and tend to her family. She was sad to say that she couldn’t do both the American Open with her team and take care of family (the geographical distance being the hurdle here). As a team, we say she can. We say that people deserve help, that Alana deserves help. That in this world those that sacrifice should be supported.

Our goal is to raise enough funds to get Alana a plane ticket from Hawaii to Philadelphia and cover some small traveling expenses. The American Open Series 2 will take place from July 26th - July 30th. Each purchase will be rewarded with a custom made t-shirt/unisex tank/female tank that shows Alana’s spirit and heart. The Hawaiian saying: “Mahalo Nui Loa” means “Thank You” in the Hawaiian native language. Attire was designed by FerroVia Apparel and is sponsoring this design and shirt.

Our amount of $2,000.00 will fund the making of the shirts, cost of shipping and fund Alana. Each shirt will be made to order, costs around $15.00 usd to produce and (unless local) will cost between 5-7 dollars to ship. A minimum donation of $30.00 dollars is necessary to help us reach our goal and qualify for a shirt. Any amount more is humbly appreciated.
