Jethro’s top surgery
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Jethro. I mentioned in my video last month that I would be setting up a GoFundMe. Here I am. The reason why I am setting this up is to ask you to help me raise money for me to get top surgery. Top surgery is performed to remove breast tissue and contouring chest to reflect a flat, masculine or male appearance. I am asking my friends and family to help me reach to my true self.
I am hoping to have the top surgery done before 2020. I would love to start a new year being who I really feel that I am inside and out.

The link above is directly show the cost of the surgery. When I contacted the surgeon in charge of my top surgery, he then told me that I am an a candidate for the double incision method. After the consultation, he had me talk to the front desk to confirm an appointment. I chose October but was presented with an unexpected. I was unaware that I would have to put down a $1,000 deposit to reserve the exact date I wanted. Then as for the surgery cost, as explained on the website, the surgery total would arrive at around $9,275.
I am asking for about $12,000 to cover the surgery and any unforeseen complications.
I only have medicaid for an insurance and they will not cover top surgery in any capacity.
I will be forever grateful for any amount you are able to give. $1, $5, $50, or any amount you wish.
For those of you who may have missed it, the video below is what I posted last month: The video was for my Deaf community since American Sign Language is my primary language. Here is the summarized transcript for my Hearing community;
During my journey of discovering myself, I had a hard time finding the missing puzzle piece. I thought I was straight until I discovered my true sexuality. But then I still felt like a piece of me was still missing. I finally found the identity that I had been lost without for a long time which was the gender, itself. I learned of the word "Transgender" and I am finally whole. Actually, when it comes to inward images, I am whole in the identity. When it comes to outward images, I am not. I have a body dysphoria. My body does not 100% match my identity. I see myself as a flat chested, bearded man. Right now Im stuck in a woman's body. I would love to see myself in a mirror being my absolute wholehearted self. To accomplish that I need the top surgery.
I want to also take the time to thank a few special people in my life that helped me through this journey;
Marla, for being there when I first discovered my true self, a transgender, and you still love me today.
My family, for their immediate love and support. They have not wavered from that. They are the true embodiment of unconditional love.
To my my best friends, Jacky and Bethany, you both struggled but ultimately you love me no matter what.
my Deaf and Hearing community, you all have shown me the power of love and how to embrace of our true selves.
Thank you all for taking the time out of your day to show me your love and support. With everlasting love, I continue to be the best and truest form of myself.
