Help Kim walk again

I created this fundraiser for my sister Kim. On August 14, 2020,  she was rushed to the UMC Hospital in Las Vegas in critical condition after a very horrible car accident. The car she was riding rolled over 4 times. She was paralyzed from the chest down upon arrival. They performed an emergency spinal cord fusion surgery on her because she fractured her spine.

Kim (Kristine Marie Lopez-Churchill) is well loved by everyone and always tries to help people in need. She has such a good heart and always says that she thinks she’s on this earth to help people. To me, she is a hero. That is her passion and she never asks anything in return. This is just the kind of person Kim is.

While Kim’s surgery went well, the doctor said that there is a possibility for her to never walk again and that her chance to recover will really depend on the therapy. Unfortunately, the doctor said that there is no rehabilitation places in Las Vegas that specializes in her injury.

We are so blessed that she is alive but I cannot imagine spending life not being able to move. With your help and God’s help, she has a hope to walk again if we get her to the right people to help her recover.

Her surgeon highly recommends that Kim goes to the Craig Hospital Rehabilitation Center in Denver to continue her recovery, as they specialize in Spinal Cord Injuries.

However, we need to raise funds for Kim to be able to transfer her to Craig Hospital. Craig doesn’t accept credit payments and Kim doesn't have health insurance. All of her medical expenses would be out of pocket.

I really believe that by getting her to Craig, she will walk again and continue living a life of helping others.

We want Kim to concentrate on recovering. We want to lessen her financial concerns so she has the biggest chance to get better. All donations raised will be going towards her medical expenses (surgeries, hospital stays, air ambulance and rehab/treatments.)
