5km in honor of Tadhg -er Tokens

As you all know I would do anything to keep Tadhg's memory alive so this year is no different. 5km Park run/walk/crawl 23rd November 9.30 in Poppintree Park, Ballymun. ALL welcome. Today as I make up the go fund me it's Tadhgs 19th birthday. 14 of those years I couldn't celebrate with him. 14 years of blowing out his candles, guessing what presents he would like each year, aching for him when we should be celebrating him so this year I will spend it raising funds in his honor for A Little lifetime foundation.

A Little lifetime offer support to bereaved families after the death of an infant. These supports are well and truly needed to more than we all know. Tadhg himself has a little sister called Sadhbh who was born at 17 weeks old so as a family we know too well of how much importance to families they are. I hope to see you all in the 23rd November to celebrate my little man's life. Here's to helping others in Tadhg's name.

This charity was chosen as my Erin's Isle team mate has had support from a little lifetime. Below is a snippet of Amy's story about Aaron.

A Littlelife Time Foundation came into my life at a time of absolute devastation. A community that noone wants to be part of but the support it provides is unmeasurable. On June 7th 2009 at 15weeks pregnant I experienced PROM ( premature rupturing of membranes). I was told I would quite soon miscarry, however my pregnancy continued for 11 weeks, spending many of those weeks in Rotunda. At 26weeks + 5days Aaron James was born weighing 2lbs 2ozs, unfortunately despite the amazing efforts of the neonatal team Aaron's lungs were too underdeveloped and he passed at 11 hours old.An hour for every week. 15 years on A Littlelife Time continue to support me on this journey, the selfless dedication of the volunteers from support groups, to workshops, yearly rememberence events, this cannot be done without the support of our communities.
