Katie Simmons

Hi, my name is Misty Duke and I’m fundraising for my cousin, Katie. On Tuesday, December 7th Katie was on her way to work and hit a patch of ice which caused a serious car accident. Thankfully, nobody else but Katie was involved. However, she sustained a fractured pelvis and fractured sacrum. Katie is going to need surgery and is awaiting transportation to another hospital more equipped to handle the surgery. She is currently unable to get up do to the injuries and is undergoing pain management. From what the doctors are indicating, Katie has a long road to recovery ahead, which will likely include physical therapy. Any funds raised at this time will go towards her medical expenses. Katie is a young, 33 year old, mother of two beautiful children, her son Logan is 9 and Evelyn, her daughter will be 8 next month. Katie loves family, being outdoors, and living life to the fullest. Her partner, Nick and many friends and family members are rallying behind her doing what we can to make this as easy as possible for Katie and the kids. Any assistance will be immensely appreciated.
