Help support mother of 2 hit by car

My name is Spencer Favers and this campaign is for my mom. On the 4th of May, 2018, my mom, pictured in the  middle of the first campaign photo was hit by a car while walking our 7 month old beagle & our 11 year old labrador. The driver of the vehicle was a 17yr old girl who was under the influence of alcohol and some type of narcotic. It was  about 8pm, Mom was wearing light colored clothing and a reflective belt. The under-aged driver veered off to the right and struck her from behind and then ran off the road and crashed into a near by embankment. The driver was unhurt. My mom was life flighted from Mansfield and moved to the intensive care unit at Grant Hospital. Where she immediately underwent multiple surgeries for her extensive internal and external injuries. She remains hospitalized. 


My reason for this campaign is in the title. The owner of the vehicle, the  drivers' mother, does not have any form of car insurance and so until we can find the time and resources, all of the medical fees and cost has to fall on us. I honestly am not sure what else to do at this point. I’m 20 years old and am currently working as a full time member of the Ohio Air national Guard and also as a teller for a local bank in my town. In addition to helping to take care of my 16 year old sister,  I don’t get to spend much time as I'd like at the hospital with my mom. 

I’m not sure how much to request for. Our first bill for the ambulance and emergency response team came and it is for nearly $2,000. We are certain that the total amount is going to be high. And that my mother will need a great deal of care on her long road to recovery. I have faith she will be ok, but I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t worried beyond belief. For anyone even considering our campaign, I can’t thank you enough! Taking the time to read our story means one more person is sending thoughts and prayers for healing and that is a blessing.
