The Native American Indian Association of Tennessee (NAIA) was established in 1980 to help improve the quality of life for Native Americans residing in the state of Tennessee. Their current home, 230 Spence Lane in Nashville, is not adequate to fulfill their sole mission of providing education, training, and assistance to the 20,000 American Indians who call the state of Tennessee home. Since the Indian Removal Act of 1830, Tennessee does not recognize any tribe therefore there is not one acre of tribal land in Tennessee. The NAIA is the only statewide organization that the American Indians in TN can turn to for assistance.

The NAIA, a 501 (c)(3) company, has purchased 6 acres in Nashville for their new home, Circle of Life Indian Cultural Center. This center will provide appreciation and awareness of the Native American culture. It will host a library dedicated to their heritage and focus on their history all the while celebrating and enriching the lives of Tennessee's native people with job training, emergency relief and education. To date, over $1,000,000 has been raised towards the construction budget of $2,300,000. Without the help of people like you, the Circle of Life Indian Cultural Center will take longer to become a reality. The American Indians in Tennessee deserve our help.
