Birthday Fundraiser 4 Nwb LGBTQ

Hey y’all, I’ve been living in the Hudson Valley for the last ten years!!! In all the time I’ve lived here it’s been a struggle to find LGBTQ community and build safe spaces for us to gather and get support or just have a good time. Especially for queer people of color living and working in the Hudson Valley. I started organizing a few projects here and there, some of them helped to build community yet had a shelf life with an expiration date. Throughout it all and no matter what, I was looking for spaces to gather with QPOC folks and allies to build together, organize, plan events, create community and heal. In 2016 I met Maria Ramirez, a young Latinx women with a similar vision and we got to work! Our collaboration started to grow and we’ve hosted a number of events but the demand for an LBGTQ Center that addresses he need of people of color, trans and non-binary people has grown. We need to step up our game! As my 37th birthday is drawing closer I want to celebrate entering into another year of blessed life by fundraising for this amazing group I’ve been working and growing with over the last two years. My goal is to raise $2,500 during the month of June. Would you help us to meet our goal?
