Kress Family

The
The Kress Family are the heart and souls of our small block since they moved in 14 years ago. We have seen them raise their daughter Rozie from a little girl to a grown married woman. We have seen their golden retriever pups grow up and walk down the wedding aisle with Tom, Jill, Rozie, and Danny.  Two nights ago at 12:40 am  (11/10/18) their lives  forever changed.  Their home burned to the ground. They fled the fire in just their pajamas.  Two unknown hero’s ran into the blazing house and were able to rescue Grandpa, with Parkinson's,  from the top of the stairs and carry him to safety.

 Three generations of Kress’s were living in the home and all are devastated by the loss of their home and mourning the loss of the canine members of the family, Joey (friendliest dog ever), Baxter and Bailey ( always together). 

The Kress’s home was home to 3 generations and EVERYTHING was lost, including 2 of their cars. Rozie and Danny (married for 3 years) had recently moved back home to save up for starting on their life together and starting their own family. Jim and Judy ( Jill’s Parents) were in transition and were set to move to a new home next week with all their belongings that were lost in the fire.

The cold hard reality is that despite deep sorrow life marches on and insurance moves at a snails pace, and will never replace all that has been lost. Prescriptions  lost in the fire need to be replaced, you need a car to get to work, you have to go to work,  the computer with your whole business stored in it  is crushed under the rubble, you still have to pay the mortgage, no birth certificate to get a new drivers license, college texts are gone, grandpas walker is still at the top of the stairs....

It it has only been 32 hours since the fire and our Clublands Community is in shock and deep sorrow at the loss.  There has been an outpouring of compassion, sorrow, and generosity.  So many neighbors have come by to offer support in any way possible, thus this fund.
